With a dummy phone or tablet you can turn an item that does not look like much in to an understandable item.  Take this picture for example, its a black thing.... No one would know what it is, put a dummy tablet in and all of a sudden you start to understand what is going on.  You can get pictures from the front, the side, the back and anywhere else you need to make your product look its best.
